St. Luke's Cross Country team had a good first season at the Varsity level. For most of them, this was their first time to compete in a 5K Varsity race. They competed in 8 cross country meets around the Mobile/Baldwin County area. Each runner improved their time with each race and by the time they reached the Sectional Meet, there was plenty of hope that one or two of them could qualify for the State Meet. The Sectional Meet, held in Tuscaloosa, proved to be a very competitive meet with some of the top runners in our area competing. Although several runners turned in their best times of the year, the Wildcats came up just short of qualifying for the State Meet. Coach Eddington looks forward to building on the past season and working with each runner on their individual goals for the new season.
