A Day in the Life
A Day in the Life is written by St. Luke's students and faculty.  Here you can get a small picture of life at St. Luke's Episcopal School.

One of the privileges I have serving as Headmaster is I get to go on outings with students. These outings are at times celebrations of accomplishments or recognition for doing something special. In this case I had the opportunity to have a pizza party at Cottage Hill Medal of Honor Park with Mrs. Annie Gwen's K5 class. The pizza party recognized that Mrs. Gwen’s class sold the most Men's Barbeque tickets for the Church. In addition to enjoying yummy barbeque the day of the event, we spent time together playing in the park sharing food and fellowship.

Spending the afternoon in the park was amazing. While we were there I met a parent that would eventually become an SLES parent. I also discovered that  tight places on the playground are much tougher to get out of these days. I had to get some help crawling out from “secret” hiding places the class of 2023 shared with me.

While so much is learned in the classroom, we know at this level even more is often learned in areas one would not expect, like the playground. Spending time with kids and teachers keeps me grounded and reminds me why we as educators do what we do. The smiles of our students are worth every minute of hard work that many put into this place each day.
